Sarah Samaroo Scull is a board Certified Medical Illustrator and scientific storyteller with almost 20 years of experience creating award winning visual tactics in a variety of media. With a demonstrated expertise in both science and art, Sarah is adept at distilling complex scientific concepts into creative solutions for targeted consumer and professional audiences.

From beautifully rendered illustrations, to tactile anatomical models, and didactic instructional design, Sarah begins every project with research and exploration, gap analysis, target audience assessment, and carefully considers project guidelines, deadlines, budget, and client goals and requirements.

Over the years she’s partnered with hundreds of brands in the pharmaceutical and surgical device industries, working with teams to create compelling educational tools that range from print materials to interactive, museum-quality displays, to live-action training videos. Sarah collaborates with all sorts of disciplines in both the design and scientific industries including mechanical engineers, film directors, industrial designers, as well as doctors, nurses, and scientists.

Sarah is a professional member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and is currently serving on the Board of Certification for Medical Illustrators (BCMI).

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys museums, theatre, hiking, and birding.
